The 1540 fractional laser is a great option for men and women who want the results of aggressive ablative lasers without the side effects or downtime. The laser converts energy into microscopic treatment zones to treat a fraction of the skin at a time leaving surrounding tissue to assist in the healing process. This is how new collagen production is stimulated and how existing collagen fibers are tightened.
Collagen remodeling is triggered when the body believes it has been injured and stress is placed on the collagen fibers. “Controlled injuries” are created to the epidermal and dermal layers without harming the top layer. This allows for minimal downtime.
